Egypt, Japan Seek Stronger Cooperation in the Energy Sector

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held talks with the Japanese Ambassador Oka Hiroshi, in attendance of several Japanese officials, exploring investment opportunities available to Japanese companies in the field of oil and gas.

The meeting was part of a chain of meetings held by the minister on the sidelines of Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES) 2024 conference and exhibition.

For his part, El Molla highlighted the strong relations between Egypt and Japan and the fruitful cooperation with the Japanese energy companies working in Egypt especially those which provides latest related-technologies.

For his part, Hiroshi outlined that there is cooperation between Japanese companies and Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), expressing his desire for more cooperation during the coming period.
