Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has held a meeting with Hayan Abdul Ghani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil of Iraq, and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, El Molla highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between the two sides and its extension to include Jordan as well, and Egypt’s keenness to continuously strengthen this tripartite cooperation across various fields, most notably the petrochemical industry.
El Molla pointed to the already existing partnership with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, Enppi and Petrojet, and the Basra crude import file.
Meanwhile, Abdul Ghani pointed out his interest in participating in the Egypt Energy Show as an important event in the region
Abdul Ghani also referred to his country’s support for joint cooperation with Egypt and its aspiration for Egyptian companies to increase the scope of their work in the Iraqi market through the available bids and job opportunities, especially in the field of oil and petrochemical projects.
