Egypt has invited Belarusian firms to participate in its oil and gas sector, Ali Abdel Aal, Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament, stated during his meeting with the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, Mikhail Myasnikovich, Amwal Al Ghad reports.
Abdel Aal specifically highlighted projects in the Mediterranean and Red Seas.
“We hope Belarusian companies will take part in the implementation of various projects in Egypt. We have big oil and gas projects in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. There are also big projects in the east of the Suez Canal,” Abdel Aal stated, according to Amwal Al Ghad.
Noting that relations between the two countries have been strengthening, Abdel Aal said that the two countries have already signed agreements to increase cooperation in the military and agricultural sectors,
The meeting was held on October 14th in St. Petersburg, Russia, during a meeting of the Inter Parliamentary Union, according to BelTA.
