Egypt Gas to Establish Pipeline in Jordan

Egypt Gas Company signed a contract with the Jordanian-Egyptian Fajr for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply Company to establish a natural gas pipeline that will supply natural gas for the Jordanian United Iron and Steel Manufacturing Company (Manaseer Iron & Steel), reported Al Borsa.

The pipeline project will be implemented in Jordan with total investments reaching $600,000, according to Al Mal News.

The pipeline contract was signed in the presence of the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, and the Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ibrahim Saif.

In related news, El Molla was participating in the third Jordan International Energy Summit (JIES). The summit is being held under the patronage of his Majesty, King of Jordan, Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein. On the sidelines of the summit, a memorandum of cooperation in the energy field was signed between Egypt and Jordan. The memorandum includes offering training and transferring Egyptian expertise in natural gas activities to the kingdom.
