Egypt Gas, Enppi to Build Jordan Pipeline

Egypt Gas has signed a contract with Engineering for the Petroleum & Process Industries worth $13 million to build a 27 km gas pipeline in northern Jordan, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The contract will last for two years and will commence during 2018.

This comes as a part of the company’s efforts to open new investment scopes outside of Egypt. The project will allow the company to build a good reputation that will ensure an ongoing and productive business relationship in Jordan.

Fajr Egypt Company has already started construction on a 55 km natural gas pipeline in Jordan, Egypt Oil & Gas reported earlier in March.

Head of Fajr Egypt Ahmed Mahmoud said that the pipeline will enable the transportation of natural gas from northern Jordan to Jordanian power stations from 2020.

The statement came during the general assembly, chaired by Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, to review the state-owned company’s work during 2017.
