Egypt recently established a single data base that connects all employees in the oil and gas sector to the Ministry of Petroleum, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and other holding companies, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The database will provide a clear vision that supports decision making, Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, said  during his meeting with the team of the third human resources development program, which is a part of the ministry’s Modernization Project.

The team analyzed the sector’s human resources data in order to identify the strengths and weaknesses and to recognize opportunities and risks to prepare efficient plans for all companies and boost their performance accordingly.

The third program team further analyzed job descriptions to include performance measurements and job requirements for each position. The team issued recommendations for each company in the sector to start implementing strategies for managing their employees.
