Egypt Eases Coronavirus Restrictions

The Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouly, announced lifting some of the precautionary measures taken to combat coronavirus and abolished nighttime curfew that was imposed to limit the spread of the disease, according to Al Ahram gate.

He added that it was decided to reopen commercial shops to be closed at 9 pm as well as restaurants and coffee shops to be closed at 10 pm at a reduced capacity of 25%.

Furthermore, Madbouly said that sporting clubs will operate with 25% of capacity in addition to cinemas and theaters. He mentioned that mosques will be reopened for daily prayers only but Friday prayers are still on hold.

Madbouly pointed out that implementing these new decisions will commence from June 27.
