Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla met Martin Horgan, CEO of Centamin, and the accompanying delegation on the sidelines of Egypt Mining Forum 2023.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen relations between the Egyptian mining sector and the global gold mining company.

Moreover, the meeting reviewed the successful cooperation and partnership both parties have in the East Desert’s Sukari gold mine and the joint vision for more success.

Horgan confirmed that his company is proud of its achievements in Egypt and confident in the investment climate.

Egypt also has the potential to become a leading market in the field of mineral resources, Horgan noted.
