Egypt and S&P Global Discuss Strengthening Long-Term Cooperation in Oil and Gas

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi met with S&P Global Vice Chairman Daniel Yergin, along with several Ministry leaders, to discuss long-term cooperation between the Ministry and S&P Global in areas such as industry studies, emission reduction, and the energy transition.

The meeting also explored future cooperation to boost production, maximize the utilization of Egyptian petroleum sector assets, and enhance the value of energy resources through existing infrastructure.

Yergin praised the long-standing, fruitful cooperation with the Egyptian petroleum sector, which has led to numerous studies and events supporting the oil and gas industry in Egypt, regionally and internationally. He also affirmed S&P’s commitment to supporting the sector’s plans and priorities.
