Egypt and Libya Set to Expand Trade and Investment in Petroleum Sector

The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation’s (EGPC) Chairman, Salah Abdel Kerim, visited the Libyan National Oil Corporation’s (NOC) pavilion and met with Chairman of Oil Libya Company, and a number of officials from the company and the Corporation. The Libyan side appreciated the visit.

The meeting discussed working to increase investment and cooperation between the two countries during the coming period, whether in the field of research and production.

The Libyan side highlighted the importance and enrichment of the existing cooperation, especially since the Egyptian Drilling Company, which drills oil and water wells, has a great reputation in the Middle East region, as well as cooperation with the Gulf Oil Company.

The meeting discussed how to increase trade exchange in various petroleum products and increase cooperation between Oil Libya Company along with the Cooperation Petroleum Company, Nile Petroleum Company, and Misr Petroleum Company.
