The final day of EGYPS 2023 witnessed a ceremony to distribute the EGYPS Global Equality in Energy Awards, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said in a statement.

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla handed out the  awards to those who demonstrated excellence in the work environment and made exceptional contributions to the global energy industry.

The minister awarded six women, namely: Shahira Osman, Director of the Branded Regional Workshop Channel, and Omnia Bekheit, General Manager of Investment and Financial Planning, with the Women’s Leadership Award.

Meanwhile, Marwa Maghraby, Process Engineer at Enppi, and Maryam Sherif, a student at Imperial College London, were awarded in the Star of the Year category. The Next Generation Award was won by Lamees Sultan and Maureen Amir from bp.
