EGPC Launches HSE Digital Application

Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) has announced the launch of the digital application “EGPC uSafe” that aims to raising awareness of health, safety and environment (HSE) systems, a relevant press release cited.

This came in line with the directives of the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, towards companies to apply digitalization, especially in the field of HSE systems to guarantee sustainability at the highest levels of safety.

This new application will make HSE measurements available to all employees in their sites all of the time. It includes the HSE rules according to standards and codes of the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP), and EGPC operation management systems (EGPC OMS).
Moreover, the application comprises HSE guidelines, lifesaving guidelines, lessons learnt from previous incidents, the essentials for safe operations according to the American Chemical Process Safety Center (CCPS), awareness campaigns and various trainings for hard missions.

The EGPC uSafe will contribute to raising HSE awareness and enhancing behavioral based safety, occupational safety, and process safety culture. It is user-friendly and features continuous update.

According to the statement, this month will witness the initial usage of the application as it includes safety campaign relevant to practices during the holy month of Ramadan. It raises the awareness of workers about healthy habits that prevent exhaustion during fasting, and implies precautionary information protecting from Covid-19 infection.
