EGPC Chairman Leads Field Visit to ANRPC, Focusing on Operational Progress and Strategic Upgrades

Chairman of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), Alaa El Batal, accompanied by Mohamed Ali, Deputy for Refining and Chemical Manufacturing, conducted a field visit to the Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemicals Company (ANRPC).

During the visit, ANRPC Chairman Sayed El-Rawi gave a presentation outlining the current operational status of the production units, the quantities of naphtha supplied from various sources, progress in achieving the production plan, details of the planned shutdown of production units in November, expected production rates during the shutdown, and the ongoing preparations for its execution.

The visit also followed up on the progress of the ZLD industrial wastewater treatment unit and the developments of the steam boiler project; in addition to its to conversion to operate on hydrogen, the secondary product of the production units, instead of natural gas.

Moreover, the EGPC delegation reviewed the status of the study of linking the steam boilers of AMOC with ANRPC and Alexandria Petroleum Company within the framework of integration between the companies and preparing the scope of work required from the company to prepare the technical and economic study for the project.

The visit included an inspection tour to follow up on the operation of the refinery’s production units and the modifications made to the isomerization unit.
