EGPC Chairman Inspects APC, Copetrole Facilities in Alexandria

The Chairman of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) Alaa El Batal, accompanied by other officials, has inspected the Alexandria Petroleum Company (APC) and the warehouse of the Co-Operation Petroleum Company (Copetrole) in the Al-Max region.

During his visit to APC, El Batal listened to a presentation delivered by Alaa Amin, the Chairman of APC, about the latest updates of the company, including the tank maintenance program as well as the installation of a new salt separator in the fourth distillation unit, which is being implemented by Petrojet. He also discussed the progress of the Petroleum Basin Port Development Project.

He explained the importance of the new projects implemented by the company in increasing the company’s production rates and meeting the needs of the local market for petroleum products.

During his visit to the Copetrole warehouse, Nasser Shouman, the Chairman of Copetrole, discussed the ongoing developments at the warehouse. This includes the development and modernization of the fire extinguishing system as well as the work system in the petroleum shipping platforms area, in addition to the development, modernization and digitization of the control system of shipping in the warehouse.

El Batal affirmed the importance of updating the warehouse and shipping platforms as they have vital role in meeting the big part of Alexandra’s petroleum needs. 

He noted to the necessity of the constant application of digitization programs to the petroleum transportation and trade.
