The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) is offering four liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments to be loaded in April 2019, Reuters reported.
The LNG cargoes are offered in a tender that is set to close on March 18 in order to be awarded by March 21.
Egypt’s LNG exports have been growing since October 2018. The North African country exported a total of five cargoes in March 2019, recording its highest LNG exports since April 2013.
“The speed and scale of which Egypt has turned from importer to notable exporter is likely to further loosen the already wide supply/demand balance,” Nick Campbell, a director at industry consultant Inspired Energy Plc, told Bloomberg in an email.
