Mohamed Roshdy, Vice Executive Managing Director for Production & Fields Development at the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), accompanied by petroleum leaders, has made an inspection tour of the fields of Rashid Petroleum Company (Rashpetco) to review the latest developments of the operations at the fields.
The visit included an inspection of maintenance and assets integration practices as well as the readiness of the production facilities at Burullus site to receive the expected production from the tenth and eleventh phases of development projects.
Roshdy also checked out the progress of the ongoing drilling operations programs, which will result in putting the first well on production from the wells of the tenth phase development project at the end of Q3 of 2024.
Additionally, Mohamed Samir, the Chairman of Rashpetco, has discussed in detail the results of drilling the first well in the tenth phase which is expected to put on stream with production rates of 160 million cubic feet per day (mmcf/d) of natural gas. The eleventh phase is expected to start production during Q2 of 2025 with rates of 150 mmcf/d.
For his part, Khaled Gad, General Manager and Managing Director of Rashpetco, elaborated that the partners, Shell and Petronas, have pumped investments in the projects of developing the West Delta fields in deep water and the Idku plant estimated at $20 billion up to now.
Moreover, Roshdy stressed the coordination between EGAS and its partners (Shell and KUFPEC) aiming to accelerate the development projects of West Mina discovery to start production by the start of 2026.
He praised the efforts exerted by the workers in facing the technical and commercial obstacles during the implementation of the tenth phase in addition to their cooperation and flexibility. Roshdy highlighted the necessity of using the latest technologies to cultivate sustainable development programs.
