EGAS, Microsoft Egypt Sign Sustainability MoU

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and Microsoft Egypt, the ministry said in a statement.

According to the MoU, the two companies plan to cooperate in developing the sustainability roadmap for EGAS. The MoU was signed by Magdy Galal, EGAS’ Chairman, and Mirna Arif, General Manager of Microsoft Egypt.
“On the Decarbonization day we were privileged to sign an MoU with Magdy Galal – Chairman of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) witnessed by Tarek El Molla – Minister of petroleum and mineral resources, empowering their journey towards sustainability,” Arif commented.

“It is through technologies such as Microsoft sustainability manager and space-based methane detection that Egypt will be able to fulfill its sustainability pledges,” Arif added.
