The Cypriot House of Representatives has approved the agreement between Egypt and Cyprus to establish a natural gas subsea pipeline between the two countries, Cyprus News Agency reported.
The agreement was ratified as 34 members voted in favor, against 16 abstentions.
The members of parliament expressed that the agreement with Egypt is seen as a milestone.
In March, the Egyptian House of Representatives approved the agreement, which was signed in Nicosia in September 2018 in order to facilitate natural gas delivery from Cyprus to Egypt’s liquefaction plants in Idku and Damietta.
