Cairo Oil Refining Company (CORC) refined 4.6 million tons of crude oil in fiscal year (FY) 2016/2017, according to the Head of CORC, Mohamed Hashiesh, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
Hashiesh noted that the company produced approximately 69,000 tons of butane, 3.9 million tons of gasoline, 2.2 million tons of mazut, 874,000 tons of diesel, and 266,000 tons of jet fuel.
CORC’s contributions to local manufacturing of equipment and refining towers and its rationalization of electricity costs led to savings of approximately EGP 360,000.
The figures were reported during the annual general assembly chaired by the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, to review the company’s results for FY 2016/2017.
