The Co-Operation Petroleum Company (Copetrole) gained revenues reaching EGP 50 billion and sold nearly 6.7 million tons of gasoline and diesel out of total sales that reached 7.5 million tons during the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018/19, a press release carried by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources pointed out.
During a General Assembly meeting with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla, Head of Copetrole Adel Ayad stated that the company’s total share market amounted to 30%. Meanwhile, Copetrole’s share in the oil and gas market was 18%, as reflected in selling oil products of 77,000 tons.
Ayad added that Copetrole maintained its pioneering role in the market, especially in the field of ship fueling, with a share of 44%, noting that its activities multiplied several times from 33,000 tons in the past FY to 216,000 this FY.
Ayad also said the company has 1,156 gas stations spread across the country, and 13 additional stations have been established this FY. Additionally, Copetrole completed developing 281 operating stations.
