bp Reaffirms Commitment to Egypt, Seeks Expansion

On the sidelines of ADIPEC exhibition and conference 2023, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla met with the interim CEO of bp Murray Auchincloss, who affirmed that the company’s investments and plans in Egypt will continue, noting that the company is aiming to expansion.

Auchincloss expressed his eagerness to expand work in Egypt’s natural gas sector, which offers promising opportunities, and to build on the successes achieved in recent decades.

Additionally, the meeting highlighted the important projects of the company in Egypt and how to accelerate the operations of exploration and development of the fields in its concession areas in order to increase production as well as search for new investment opportunities in other areas. 

El Molla emphasized the crucial role played by bp as a strategic partner to Egypt and the keenness to develop this partnership and open new cooperation horizons.
