bp along with Mercedes-Benz Trucks have successfully tested the first digital fuel payment system for trucks in the UK being run on Wren Kitchen trucks, BP announced in a press release.
The new application bp In-Truck Pay will facilitate a more efficient, secure purchasing and management process for both fleet managers and truck drivers. bp’s statement elaborated that this application is developed for the latest-generation Mercedes-Benz Actros. It can be specified with Multimedia Cockpit, Interactive.
Also, the application will automatically include all data related to purchases and mileage. It has the ability to provide accurate information to managers without the need for drivers to enter mileage themselves.
In this regard, Alexandru Eftimiu, bp’s VP fleet Europe said: “We aim to provide innovative digital solutions to make customers’ lives easier. bp In-Truck Pay shifts how we connect with our customers through digital and online platforms…. We’ve already received fantastic feedback from Wren Kitchens and look forward to bringing bp In-Truck Pay to other customers and countries in due course.”
