The Q2 2025 operation results of Barrick Gold company showed a gold production surge by 5% and copper by 34% compared to Q1 2025. The strong performance was supported by a strong contribution from Lumwana, a large open-pit copper mine in Zambia, owned and operated by the company.
The company said that it produced 204 ounces of gold in Q1 2025, with guidance of production of 820-910 ounces for 2025.
Additionally, the results indicated an increase in the net earnings per share to $0.47 in Q2 2025. It also revealed higher operating cash flow during H1 2025 , reaching $2.5 billion,32% higher than the same period in 2024.
It added that the free cash flow totalled $770 million, increasing by 107% in H1 2025, compared to H1 2024, supported by stronger commodity prices.
Barrick Gold highlighted that gold and copper production matched guidance, with copper moving toward the higher end of the annual target range.
