Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel) is working on expediting the production of Baltim field, adding 500 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) of natural gas, a source at the company told Amwal Al Ghad.

Development projects as well as the field’s completion will directly contribute to commencing the production from Baltim field by Q3 2019, the source noted.

The production will help attaining the oil and gas sector’s plans to export natural gas in 2019.

The company will drill up to six wells in the field’s development, the source stated, adding that Petrobel is developing all the fields located in its concessions, especially those in the Mediterranean deepwater.
