Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel) and Eni will bring their South Balteem well online by mid-2019, helping the companies to achieve their target of pumping an extra 0.5 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas, a Petrobel source told Youm7.

The field production capacity was already known after Petrobel drilled two exploration wells.

Petrobel is currently building an offshore platform in preparation for bringing the field online.

The production line will be linked to Abu Madi facilities off Egypt’s north coast.
