Being a global leader in energy technology, Baker Hughes has announced its collaboration with Microsoft, C3 AI, and Accenture on industrial asset management (IAM) solutions for clients both in the energy and industrial sectors.

This cooperation will specifically focus on the creation and deployment of Baker Hughes IAM solutions that seek to optimize the emissions profile, efficiency, as well as safety of various physical assets, including field equipment and industrial machines, through the use of digital technologies.

The company statement elaborated that through combining the individual strengths of all four companies, they will be able to effectively work together on Baker Hughes IAM capabilities. This will help in enhancing operational processes, plant equipment, and business operations through increasing operational flexibility, improving uptime, energy efficiency management, and capital planning.

Baker Hughes added that these solutions will cater to industries including oil and gas, renewable energy and thermal power generation, chemicals, metals and mining, as well as pulp and paper.

Moreover, Baker Hughes, C3 AI, Accenture, and Microsoft also plan to work together on solutions that will help decarbonize the energy and industrial sectors as well as achieve net-zero emissions.

“This collaboration accelerates our growth strategy to provide differentiated IAM solutions that enhance our customer’s industrial operations by optimizing the performance of industrial equipment and processes,” said Lorenzo Simonelli, Baker Hughes chairman and CEO. “IAM connects industrial data to domain-specific insights for improved efficiencies and lowered energy use and emissions. We see this as an important step to support the industry’s net-zero targets.”
