Baker Hughes Completes Sale of PSI Business to Crane Company

Baker Hughes, an energy technology company, announced Monday the closing of the sale of its Precision Sensors & Instrumentation (PSI) product line to Crane Company. The transaction follows a divestiture agreement originally announced in July 2025.

The PSI business includes the Druck, Panametrics, and Reuter-Stokes brands. These units provide precision measurement, sensing, and monitoring technologies used in energy, industrial, and aerospace applications.

According to a Baker Hughes press release, the products are designed to deliver high-accuracy data for pressure, flow, natural gas, and radiation measurement in critical operating environments.

Baker Hughes noted that this divestment, combined with the recently finalized joint venture for its surface pressure control product line, marks a significant milestone in its value-creation strategy. The company is focused on disciplined portfolio management, operational execution, and capital efficiency.

The transaction is expected to enhance earnings and cash flow durability while providing cash proceeds to further strengthen the balance sheet. Baker Hughes stated that the move allows for the redeployment of capital toward higher-return opportunities within a rigorous, returns-focused approach to capital allocation.

Baker Hughes is a global energy technology company that provides equipment, services, and digital solutions across the global energy and industrial value chain. The company operates in over 120 countries, focusing on technologies that make energy safer, cleaner, and more efficient.

Crane Company is a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products, serving the aerospace, defense, space, and process industries. Founded in 1855, the company provides mission-critical components, including valves, pumps, and sensing systems designed for challenging operating environments.
