Baker Hughes, a leading energy technology company, has announced a 20-year framework agreement with Chevron Australia Pty Ltd. where Baker Hughes will provide its innovative Aptara Subsea production systems for Chevron Australia’s future offshore developments.
The Aptara suite is a collection of advanced subsea equipment, including subsea trees, wellheads, and control systems, designed to meet the evolving demands of industry.
“Baker Hughes brings global expertise and a proven record of delivering key projects throughout the Asia Pacific region,” said David Dillon, senior vice president of subsea and surface pressure systems, oilfield services, and equipment at Baker Hughes.
“This new framework agreement reflects our continued commitment to deliver valuable solutions to our customers and help navigate the evolving energy landscape in the most productive and efficient manner,” he added.
Notably, the Aptara subsea systems are designed to minimize complexities and enhance project returns. As part of the agreement, Baker Hughes will consolidate regional deliveries of its 7″ Aptara Subsea Production systems.
The agreement also places a strong emphasis on Australian industry participation, allowing local industries and resources to play a crucial role in the development of vital natural gas supplies for Australia and the surrounding region.
