Badawi Reviews Aton Resources’ Activities in Abu Marwat Concession Area

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi received a delegation from Aton Resources headed by its CEO Tonno Vahk in which he presented the company’s activities and exploration efforts in Abu Marawat concession area located in the Eastern Desert and the Arabian-Nubian Shield.

During the meeting, Badawi stressed that the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) provides full support to Aton for implementing its projects, expressing his appreciation to the company’s commitment to the specific timetables for implementation and its desire to pump more investments into Egypt.

For his part, Vahk gave a presentation on the company’s activity in the Abu Marawat area, where the two commercial discoveries of Hamama and West Rodruin were achieved, pointing out the company’s full commitment to its activities in Egypt and pumping more investments.

He stated that the company is currently working on establishing a plant for extracting and processing gold produced from the mine, which will use advanced environmentally friendly technologies that provide the possibility of not wasting any other minerals associated with the gold and achieves the highest extraction rate as well as allows the exploitation of all minerals.

Additionally, the CEO pointed to the company’s efforts to transform the mine into a world-class model and a great success story.
