During his visit to the UAE, Karim Badawi, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, inspected the headquarters of the Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (ENPPI) company branch in UAE capital Abu Dhabi. This followed the signing of a cooperation agreement in mining and finance with the Emirati International Resources Holding Company (IRH).
The Minister’s visit came in support of the role of Egyptian petroleum project companies in carrying out projects outside of Egypt with major Arab national companies and institutions.
During the visit, ENPPI’s team in the UAE delivered a presentation on the company’s key ongoing projects in Emirates in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). The Minister expressed his pride in the capabilities and competitive value of ENPPI and other Egyptian companies operating abroad, emphasizing his full support to facilitating the company’s work, regional expansion, and presence abroad.
Officials from ADNOC praised the performance and high efficiency of ENPPI and other Egyptian companies in carrying out joint projects. They expressed their anticipation for more shared success in the future.
It’s worth noting that the projects carried out by Egyptian companies in the UAE align with the sixth pillar of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy, which involves increasing regional cooperation and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian petroleum project companies in the region, according to the ministry’s statement.
ENPPI is globally recognized as a major engineering contractor, with decades of experience in onshore and offshore projects in the oil and gas, refining and petrochemical industries.
ADNOC is an Emirati state-owned oil company and one of the world’s leading energy and petrochemical groups, with a significant global presence.
