Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has appointed Abeer El-Sherbiny, the Acting Head of the Ministry’s Technical Office as the Official Spokesperson for the Ministry.

El-Sherbiny has started her career in the petroleum sector as a technical studies engineer at the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM) in 2011 and rose through the ranks until she became Assistant General Manager of the Technical Office at the company in 2025.
