Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi held a discussion session with Meg O’Neill, CEO and Managing Director of the Australian company Woodside Energy.

The meeting reviewed new investment opportunities and the status of exploration and research work in the areas in which the Australian company participates in the Mediterranean and Red Seas.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of his participation in the Gastech 2024 Conference in Houston, USA.

During the meeting, Badawi and O’Neill reviewed the new investment opportunities offered by the petroleum sector in the fields of research, exploration and field development in open areas through the Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG), highlighting the opportunities which the company can explore and exploit.
