Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi has held a meeting with officials from Saudi Arabia’s Al Qahtani Group to explore opportunities for cooperation and investment in oil, gas and petrochemical activities.
The meeting explored potential avenues for cooperation and joint ventures, particularly in oil and gas development, leveraging the investment opportunities presented on the Egyptian Upstream Gateway (EUG).
The delegation from the Saudi Group affirmed their commitment to partnering with Egypt’s petroleum sector and investing in the country. They expressed enthusiasm for exploring investment opportunities in oil and gas services, development, and production.
Badawi expressed his interest of Al Qahtani Group to partner with the petroleum sector and invest in Egypt and its interest in studying investment opportunities and possible areas of cooperation, which was reflected in holding several joint business meetings between the two sides during the past few days. Badawi further highlighted the speed of work and cooperation on the part of the petroleum sector to facilitate investment and benefit from the distinguished investment opportunities.
The meeting was attended by Tariq Abdel Hadi Al-Qahtani, Chairman of the Board, Abdulmalik Tariq Al-Qahtani, EARADAT Transport Company affiliated with the group, and Hossam Ibrahim, Business Development Manager and Group Representative in Partnership with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
