AVEVA, Schneider Electric, SUTech Launch Green Industrial Training Centers in Egypt

Industrial software provider AVEVA, energy technology leader Schneider Electric, and Elsewedy University of Technology (SUTech) signed a long-term partnership agreement to establish advanced Training Excellence Centers in Egypt. The cross-border infrastructure pact establishes a multi-year technical framework to equip Egyptian and regional youth with practical skills in automation, digitalization, and clean energy, according to a press release by AVEVA.

The trilateral agreement, signed on the sidelines of AVEVA World 2026,  creates a direct educational-to-industrial pipeline designed to support Egypt’s sovereign green transition and industrial modernization strategy. Under the joint program, the partners will deploy specialized platforms and commercial software ecosystems to construct state-of-the-art laboratories and develop industry-aligned curricula at SUTech.

Moreover, the program’s regional expansion strategy targets capacity-building initiatives, engineering competitions, and grassroots innovation challenges tailored for young entrepreneurs across the African continent.

Through its collaboration framework with SUTech, AVEVA will provide access to its advanced industrial software technologies. As a consequence, students will gain practical exposure to advanced industrial digital solutions that mirror real-world operations. They will learn to develop virtual replicas of entire industrial facilities, enabling them to detect potential issues and bridge the gap between academic learning and industry application, according to the press release.

“Integrating AVEVA and Schneider Electric’s cutting-edge solutions into our academic ecosystem actively shapes future talents and accelerates the energy and industrial transition across the region,” stated Hanan ElRihany, CEO of ELSEWEDY EDTECH, El Sweedy’s higher‑education arm, which established and manage SUTech El Sewedy University of Technology (SUTech). She noted that utilizing advanced simulation tools and real-time data positions SUTech at the forefront of regional industrial innovation

“It is a great honor to receive the trust of such a reference in the world of engineering in Africa. We believe this collaboration with SUTech will accelerate engineering talent development across the African continent,” Khaled Salah, Vice-President of Africa, AVEVA, added.

For his part, Sebastien Riez, Cluster President of Schneider Electric North Africa & Levant, said: “This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to preparing the next generation of engineering talent for a more digital, efficient, and sustainable industrial future.”

As Egypt accelerates its industrial and digital transformation, demand continues to grow for talents capable of working with clean technologies, smart infrastructure, automation systems, and industrial AI. Through this collaboration, the three parties aim to help bridge the gap between academic learning and evolving industry needs.

AVEVA World 2026 is a premier industrial intelligence event held in Milan, Italy, from May 19–21, bringing together companies, industries, and global speakers to explore digital transformation, industrial AI, and sustainability. It serves as a global platform for leaders, innovators, and practitioners to accelerate the future of intelligent industries.
