Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla has appointed geologist Ashraf Farag to the post of First Undersecretary for Agreements and Exploration at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

Before his promotion in early March, Farag was the Undersecretary for Agreements and Exploration.
