Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has met a delegation from ArcelorMittal Jubail headed by the company’s CEO Gabriel Angel Monti to discuss ways of boosting bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, El Molla affirmed that the attractive climate investment in Egypt has encouraged various international companies to expand its operations in Egypt.

He noted that the integration systemو that the Egyptian petroleum sector has successfully set up, has provided different capabilities and expertise which contributes to facilitating the companies’ operations in the region.

The delegation presented an ambitious program to increase the added value from the company’s operations in Egypt by achieving the ultimate benefit from the geographical proximity between Egypt and Saudi Arabia as well as providing pipelines to transport distillates.

They referred to the company’s success to win the bid round offered by Belayim Petroleum Company (PETROBEL). The delegation added that the company is now working on supplying pipelines to petroleum sector companies and has supplied 47,000 tons of pipelines since 2018.
