Saudi Aramco has announced that it will choose between six companies to develop the $6 billion Berri Offshore Oilfield Increment Program project, Mubasher reported.
The six contenders for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract are the UAE’s National Petroleum Construction, Italian contractor Saipem, Subsea 7, American companies Dynamic Industries and McDermott, and India’s Larsen & Toubro.
The project for the development of the field includes building 10 production deck modules, subsea pipelines, and a tie-in platform.
The field will produce more than 250,000 barrels per day (b/d) of crude once operational.
