Apex International Energy appointed Robert Milius as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

Milius had previously been serving as a Managing Director and Head of Natural Resources Group for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) at Barclays, according to the company’s press release. He has also worked for Lehman Brothers.

“We are delighted to welcome Bob to Apex as our Chief Financial Officer.  His proven track record of financial leadership and extensive network of industry relationships in the MENA region and beyond are already making a difference in Apex’s quest to build a significant and profitable international exploration and production company,” the CEO of Apex, Roger B. Plank, said.

In August, Apex signed exploration and production (E&P) agreements with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) worth $27.4 million.

Apex is US-based an oil and gas company that focuses on Egypt.
