Alexandria National Refining & Petrochemicals (ANRPC) maintained high productivity during the fiscal year 2024/2025 producincg 1.6 million tons of high-octane gasoline, in addition to other high-value products, ANRPC Chairman Sayed Al Rawy told attendees of the company’s general assembly, headed by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi.
Al Rawy presented the company’s experience to convert the main boiler to operate on hydrogen , a development which contributed to utilizing 12,000 tons of hydrogen-rich gases annually. This resulted in a reduction of natural gas consumption by about 20,000 tons per year.
Al-Rawi pointed to the development work carried out by the company to improve the efficiency of the production units and increase storage capacity through the construction of a new warehouse with a capacity of 10,000 tons.

Prior to the meeting, Badawi, accompanied by sector leaders, inspected the workflow at the production units of ANRPC. The minister toured the company’s various production units, which produce about 30% of the local gasoline output in addition to benzole, a substance necessary for some petrochemical industry projects.
ANRPC is considered one of the biggest refining companies in Egypt, working under the umbrella of theĀ Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). ANRPC was established in 1999 for the implementation of the strategies and policies of the Egyptian Petroleum Ministry for the production of strategic products namely high octane gasoline & petrochemical products.
