Alexandria Mineral Oils Company (AMOC) has signed a cooperation protocol with the Orman Association to support Village 45 and Al-Wafaa & Al-Amal Villages in Al-Ameriya Center, Alexandria Governorate.
Within the framework of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ (MoPMR) strategy for corporate social responsibility (CSR), which aims to support and increase the oil and gas sector’s contribution to community development, especially in the areas most in need of care.
The protocol was signed by AMOC’s Chairman, Amr Ahmed Lotfy, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orman Association, Ahmed El-Gendy, in attendance of Alaa Hagar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ (MoPMR) Technical Office.
The protocol includes implementing a project to upgrade the efficiency of 60 homes through rebuilding, furnishing and equipping them, implementing 20 small projects, and delivering a number of heads of livestock, which will contribute to providing sustainable income for families most in need of care.
These projects are part of a series of efforts exerted by the MoPMR to promote sustainable development and improve the quality of life in local communities in various governorates throughout Egypt.
It is worth noting that the oil and gas sector has implemented many CSR projects in Alexandria Governorate in the previous years in the fields of health, education, training, capacity building, and the reconstruction and rehabilitation of a large number of homes in the governorate’s villages.
