Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held a session of talks with Bandar Alkhorayef, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, on the sidelines of the Egypt Mining Forum 2023.

During the meeting, Alkhorayef invited El Molla to attend the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) in Riyadh next January.

It dealt with deepening aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of mining.

At the beginning of the meeting, El Molla welcomed the Saudi Minister, praising his keenness to accept the invitation to attend the conference.

El Molla highlighted the strength of the relations between the two countries in all fields and the strength of the ties between the political leadership in Egypt and the Kingdom. He added that the mining sector is an opportunity for further cooperation and integration between Egypt and the Kingdom and the exchange of experiences

For his part, Alkhorayef pointed out the existence of opportunities for integration between Egypt and the Kingdom in the mining sector, by taking advantage of the recent positive developments witnessed by this sector in both countries.

Alkhorayef added that Egypt was able to attract the attention of investors recently to the activities of its mining sector, after the developments that were introduced in this sector. He further highlighted the importance of the services activity in adding momentum to mining activities.
