The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) is looking to expand its Global Meetings Program to facilitate trade and business networking among attendees at this year’s event, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

“From exclusive C-suite networking sessions in the VIP-only Middle East Petroleum Club, to a bespoke matchmaking concierge service that will pre-arrange highly targeted face-to-face meetings, ADIPEC will offer a wide range of carefully designed opportunities for visitors, delegates and exhibitors to make valuable new connections and drive business growth,” the company states in its press release.

Attendees will have the opportunity to submit their professional profile and interests prior to the event. Using the information provided, the Global Meetings Program will suggest potential meetings.

The organizers plan to organize approximately 2,000 meetings at this year’s event—up from the close to 600 meetings they arranged in 2016, according to Jean-Philippe Cosse, Vice President of Middle East–Global Energy at dmg events.

This year’s conference will also include a new component focusing exclusively upon the strategic and technical aspects of the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry.

ADIPEC is a leading oil and gas event in the Arabian Gulf. The event organizers estimate that 10,000 delegates and 100,000 visitors from well over 100 countries will attend this year’s conference and exhibits.

For this year’s conference, 2,200 companies from more than 50 countries will exhibit displays related to the oil and gas sector.

The event will be held in Abu Dhabi from November 13th – 16th under the patronage of His Highness, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. It will be hosted by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and organised by the Global Energy division of DMG events.
