Chairman of Egyptian Gas Association (EGA) and Chairman and Co-Founder of TAQA Arabia Rosetta Gogas Khaled Abubakr inaugurated the Abubakr School of Applied Technology for Gas and Renewable Energy.
Th Abubakr School is a pioneer school in Egypt and the Middle East, specializing in training the next generation of technicians in the vital fields of energy and sustainable technologies.
“As part of commitment in giving back to our society and community, this school is founded as an outcome of all my family’s icons and achievements in Egypt’s Gas and energy sector,” Abubakr commented.
“As Egypt takes a leading role in the global energy landscape, our school aim to become the beacon of innovation and technical excellence,” Abubakr noted.
The school is distinguished by offering three main specializations in the field of natural gas and renewable energy. It aims to graduate qualified technical cadres to work in the fields of natural gas installation technology, converting vehicles to operate on natural gas, and generating electricity from solar energy.
In light of Egypt’s pivotal role in the fields of natural gas and renewable energy, and in support of its efforts to enhance sustainable development at both the local and regional levels, the school stands out as the first specialized technical school in the three fields in Egypt and the Middle East.
Abu Bakr School of Applied Technology, Gas and Renewable Energy aims to graduate highly specialized and trained technical cadres in the fields of natural gas and renewable energy. They are qualified to work in the fields of natural gas installation technology for homes, industrial applications, converting vehicles to operate on natural gas, and installation and maintenance of solar energy systems.
