Electricity is the main source of fuel for 96.1% of Egypt’s public facilities, according to Egypt’s 2017 census, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
Of the 3.9% which do not primarily depend on electricity, 1.5% relies on butane, 0.5% relies on diesel, 0.4% relies on natural gas, and 1% relies upon other sources of energy, such as mazut, kerosene, gasoline, coal, solar, energy, or wind.
The remaining public facilities do not use fuel.
