The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) has announced the completion of a training program hosted by Huawei for twenty candidates from the graduates of MoPMR’s Program for the Qualification of Young Leaders and Middle Management (Batch Two).
The training took place under the patronage of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi in several Chinese cities within the framework of bilateral relations and fruitful cooperation with Huawei, one of the main sponsors of the final qualification phase of the program.
It is worth noting that the training program was designed to support digital transformation according to the latest global technologies and administrative systems.
The program was marked by professionalism and innovation, aimed at developing the capabilities of a wide base of young professionals in the petroleum sector. This initiative supports the implementation of the Ministry’s strategy while helping participants discover their potential and enhance their skills.
The training took place at the company’s headquarters in Shenzhen, featuring visits to various exhibitions showcasing the company’s products and technical solutions. The trainees also visited Hangzhou, where they explored the latest technologies in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and their applications across all sectors of the petroleum industry.
Meetings were held with leading production and service companies in Beijing and Daqing to explore the latest technologies and exchange expertise in production, operational efficiency, exploration, transportation, distribution, petroleum refining, and petrochemical production.
At the conclusion of the training, the trainees presented innovative ideas for diverse projects across multiple fields. These proposals reflected the knowledge gained in digital transformation and aligned with the petroleum sector’s strategic direction of supporting digitalization to achieve sustainable development, optimize resource utilization, and reduce costs.
