According to the official Egyptian newspaper, the President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi has approved the law no 167 for the year of 2019 to allow the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to contract with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Apache LDC.

Egypt’s arrears to international oil companies (IOC) fell by 5.5% to $850 million at the end of June, down from $900 million in 2019, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla told Reuters.
