The Ministry of petroleum witnessed shocking movements yesterday. Eng. Abdllah Ghorab was promoted as the president of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) instead of Eng. Abdel Aleem Taha.

As a result of the movement, Taha who has been the chairman of EGPC since autumn 2006 after succeeding Eng. Ibrahim Saleh, became the undersecretary at the Petroleum Ministry for Production.

Ghorab was the CEO of Khalda Oil Company before being the new CEO of EGPC.

Moreover, Eng. Shamel Hamdi, was appointed to be the chairman of SUMED company after being the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum, replacing Eng. Mahmoud Nazim. As for Nazim, he became the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum for the petrochemicals affairs.

In addition, Geologist Mohamed Refaat Khafaga who was the chairman of the Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO) turned out to be the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum for the Explorations and Agreements. Consequently, Eng. Mohammed Abul Wafa replaced him for being the chairman of GUPCO.

  • Eng. Osama Albokaly became the chairman of Khalda Oil Company after he was the Director of Operations at Khalda.
  • Mohamed Abul wafa became the chairman of (GUPCO) who has been the chairman of Elmansora Oil Company.
  • Eng. Shaker Elhawary became the chairman of the Nile Company for the marketing of oil who has been the chairman of Cooperation Oil Company.
  • Mohamed Elhamy Anwar became the chairman of Cooperation Oil Company for Technical Affairs who has been the assistant of Cooperation Oil Company for Technical Affairs  .
  • Eng. Alaa Abel latif became the chairman of the Petroleum Pipelines Company who has been the assistant of GASCO Company for Projects.
  • Eng. Mohamed Elkanesh became Expert with a level of Chief Executive for (EGPC) for the Networks crude and products Affairs. 
  • Eng. Mostafa Shehata became the chairman of Offshore Shukheir Oil Company (OSOCO) who successed Eng. Mohamed Elbramawy  for reaching the legal age. Eng. Mostafa has been the Operations General Manager in the Wasatani Oil Company.
  • Eng. Ezz Eldeen Abdelal became the chairman of Gemsa Petroleum Company who was the Operations General Manager in Qarun Petroleum Company. Eng Ezz Eldeen successed Eng. Magdy Abdollah for reaching the legal age.
  • Eng. Medhat Hassan became the chairman of PETRO Gulf Egypt for Exploration after he was Assistant Chief for the same company. Eng. Medhat successed Eng. Thrwat Abu Elaneen for reaching the legal age.
  • Eng. Hany Dahy became the chairman of ENPPI Company after he was the chairman of PETROJET.
  • Eng. Fakhry Eed became he chairman of PETROJET who was the chairman of ENPPI Company.
  • Eng. Ebrahim Mahmoud became the chairman of alamrya Oil Refining Company who was the Assiatant Chief of Alexandria Petroleum Company. Eng. successed Eng. Ahmed Elsawy for reaching the legal age.
  • Eng. Abdelllah Eldsoky became the chairman of Western Bakr for Oil who has been the Operations General Manager for the same company. Eng. Abdellah successed Eng. Shalby Qasem for reaching the legal age.
  • Dr. Safwat Beder became the chairman of the Egyptian Petrochemicals Company after he was the chairman of the Elestrenx Company. Eng. Safwat successed Eng. Fawzy Amar for reaching the legal age.
  • Dr. Yousry Elmahdawy became the chairman of PETROMENT Company who has been the chairman of the Elestrenx Company.
  • Eng. Mohamed Abdelrahman Hathot the chairman of PETROMENT Company who has been assistant in the Petroleum Affairs sector in the ministry.
  • Eng. Ali Salem became the chairman of the Egyptian Drilling Company (EDC) who has been the chairman of SINO Tharwa for Drilling Company.
  • Eng. Osama Elebyary became the chairman of SINO Tharwa for Drilling Company who has been the chairman of the Egyptian Drilling Company (EDC).
  • Eng. Hassan Saad Mohamed became the chairman of ASPEC Company after he was the chairman of SEDEK Company. Eng. Hassan successed Eng. Mohamed Mansour for reaching the legal age.
